Echoes of the Amazon

The Amazons Project presents: Echoes of the Amazon. This is the documentary we all have been waiting for. The documentary especially directed at everyone out there who still doubts women’s potential to lead the positive change for the environment, including women and girls who doubt their own selves. It speaks loud and clear:

Dare to do it your way. Try different formats. Don’t be afraid that your way is not the so-called ‘classic way’ of leading. These standard ways are often deeply embedded in gendered stereotypes. Shed the ‘impostor’ mantle. Don’t wait until you are ‘experienced enough’. Be the change in your own environment until you see that you become a change for a broader environment one day. 💚

From the heart of the Amazon to the cities of Europe, we reached women leaders from across the globe: influencers, heads of organizations, politicians, teachers, students, local and global activists, and community builders. These women shared with us their stories, carrying the message of empowerment, strength, resilience, but also creativity, fun, and care.

Echoes of the Amazon highlights how important it is to transform the systems excluding or diminishing women’s leadership, it shows how crucial it is, both for the planet, and for the society, for the women to have the space to express their courage, initiative, and action.

The video also reflects our dedication to diversity and intersectionality, as we believe that each human being is a unique mosaic of struggles, dreams and beliefs. Every girl and woman is one of a kind, and we wish all of them to feel valued, win their fights – for their communities, for their homes, and for their planet.
